Description
We offer several different martial Arts at Maida Gym. They are all coached to the same outstanding quality. We also take anyone on no matter thier ability, so even if it’s your first Martial Art we are happy to train you up.
Muaythai: Muay Thai is referred to as the “Art of Eight Limbs” or the “Science of Eight Limbs”, because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight “points of contact”, as opposed to “two points” (fists) in boxing and “four points” (hands and feet) used in other more regulated combat sports.
Boxing: We host boxing classes regularly at the Maida. Our main aim is to build up your fitness levels and improve your fighting technique. Boxing is one of the best sports to improve your overall strength and conditioning because you’re using so many different skills at one time.
Kickboxing: k1 is a combat sport that combines stand up techniques from Muaythai, Karate, Taekwondo, Savate, San shou, Kickboxing and traditional Boxing to. This is one of the most elite martial arts but can be mastered by anyone who is willing to put in time to develop their technique.
Wrestling: We offer wrestling classes to anyone of any ability. Our matted area is the perfect place to host these classes as it provides a safe environment for extreme physical contact. Our wrestling coaches our some of the best in the country and have has lots of professional fighting experience.
